Things to Do in North Little Rock

Argenta

The downtown Argenta Historic District is lined with locally owned bars, restaurants and shops. Four Quarter Bar has shuffleboard and the best Cosmos in the state! Stop by Capeo for authentic Italian fare and some limoncello. 

Simmons Bank Arena

Simmons Bank Arena is a the premier venue in North Little Rock for concerts by major entertainers and other special events like rodeos, sporting events, graduations, and trade shows. It is considered the crown jewel of the River Market and features a seating capacity of 18,000, 29 luxury suites, and conference space of 28,000 square feet.

Dickey-Stephens Park

Dickey-Stephens Park is the perfect location for a fun night at the ballpark to enjoy the home of the Arkansas Travelers, the Anaheim Angels farm team. The ballpark is the home to a beer garden, themed nights, and baseball museum.

Old Mill

A “must see” attraction in North Little Rock is the Old Mill, an authentic reproduction of an old water-powered grist mill which appears in the opening scene of the 1939 classic movie, “Gone with the Wind.” Built in 1914, this structure is a treasure trove of old tools, Indian artifacts, vintage photos, and original equipment used in grinding wheat and corn.

Argenta Drug Store

Established in 1880, Argenta Drug Co. is the oldest continuously operating pharmacy west of the Mississippi River. Located in the Argenta Arts District, Argenta Drug is housed in the oldest brick building in North Little Rock. Until 2006, a vintage classic Coca-Cola ad was painted on the 4th Street side of the building, but has since been restored. When you step in to the drugstore, you step back in time. Little has changed since the 1950s, as it sports vintage apothecary wallpaper, the original pressed tin ceiling and hand-laid tile flooring.

Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum

Centered around the submarine USS Razorback, the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum is one of Arkansas’s best kept secrets. The USS Razorback is a veteran of World War II, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and the Turkish Navy. The maritime museum will soon feature the historic tugboat USS Hoga, which is known for her bravery and actions during the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.
